Landing page
Use this page style for each of the main navigation sections, to introduce the user to the section and guide them to important content contained within.
This page type is intended only for the landing pages of the 5 main sections of the website: Separation & Divorce, Children, Finances & Support, Abuse & Family Violence, Legal System.
Introductory text
This space is reserved for short introductory text at the top of a landing page. Use this to describe at a high-level what users will find in the section. It should be no more than two to four sentences.
Images should be 575 x 375px.
Section blocks
Landing page content is divided into small routing boxes (coloured link blocks) to direct users to the sub-landing pages. If necessary, the routing boxes can be linked to info pages as well.
The information on the page should be just enough to direct users to the next sub-landing page (and no more).
Common questions
Enter up to five common questions for each landing page. The questions should be based on research into actual questions users are asking and should not repeat any information that is easily findable in the section content. Ideally, they will be based on most frequent call centre questions, and should be ever-changing.
Common questions are entered as a distinct content type. Enter them from the content navigator as you would a create a new page (instead, select the content type "Common question").
The order of the common questions is determined by the "weight" field. The order runs from lowest (negative) weight to highest (positive). If order to hide a common question without deleting it, it can be switched into Draft mode.
Stories
Three stories will be displayed on each landing page.
The stories are entered as a distinct content type. Enter them from the content navigator as you would a create a new page (instead, select the content type "Common question").
Panel images within the story should be named in a consistent format: “Story name - Panel 1 of 12”
Off-boarding links
These links are intended to route users to content in other sections, in case the information they are looking for is not found in the landing page. They should direct users who have gone to the wrong section (e.g. looking for custody information under Separation & Divorce).
Select up to four links and include a single short sentence to describe them.
Sub-landing page
The content options on the sub-landing page are very similar to the Information page. However, this content should be limited to short introductions used to route users to subsequent pages, rather than containing a lot of information in the page itself.
Like the landing page, this page is intended to direct users to the right content for their situation, rather than providing the information itself.
